- The Clarence Correctional Centre encompasses the delivery of a new 1,700 bed multifunctional, regional correctional centre servicing the northern part of NSW featuring state-of-the-art security and surveillance, as well as advanced rehabilitation services.
- Construction of the centre began in early 2018 and was completed in May 2020.
- Ditchfield was initially subcontracted to perform clearing, bulk earthworks(500,000m3), sedimentation dams, temporary and permanent roads and trunk stormwater lines and were subsequently awarded Stage 2 works largely due to the successful delivery of the initial package of works.
- The second stage of works consisted of the construction of crane and building platforms, earthworks (300,000m3), stormwater network (7kms), roads, carparks, games courts, swales and subsoil drains and concrete roads and footpaths(35,000m2) and re-spreading topsoil. The project included complex staging and co-ordination of works between multiple trades with up to 1,500 workers onsite daily
